About the role

We are seeking an experienced and proactive Inclusion Manager to join a secondary school in Pontefract, starting after Easter on a full-time basis. This is a long‑term supply role, working Monday to Friday from 8:15am to 3:15pm, leading on behaviour and inclusion strategies across the school. The role will focus on delivering targeted interventions such as Zones of Regulation and “Making the Right Choices” to support students’ emotional development and behaviour. The school has a strong commitment to inclusion, fostering a supportive and structured environment where all students are encouraged to succeed.

Key responsibilities

  • Lead and deliver targeted behaviour and inclusion interventions, including Zones of Regulation
  • Support students in developing emotional regulation and positive decision‑making skills
  • Work closely with staff to implement effective behaviour strategies across the school
  • Monitor and track student progress, adapting interventions where necessary
  • Build positive relationships with students, staff and parents to support inclusion

Pre‑requisites

  • Relevant qualifications in education, behaviour support or a related field
  • Proven experience of working with children or young people with behavioural or SEMH needs
  • Strong knowledge of behaviour management strategies, including interventions such as Zones of Regulation
  • Two education or school‑based references
  • Strong communication, organisational skills and the ability to lead and support others effectively
