Key Responsibilities

- Assess, monitor, and track pupil progress, using this information to adapt teaching strategies and support individual learning plans.
- Create a structured, inclusive classroom environment that supports both learning and emotional wellbeing, promoting independence and positive engagement.
- Work collaboratively with support staff, therapists, and external professionals to ensure a holistic approach to each pupil’s development.
- Pre-requisites
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent, with experience teaching children or young people with SEND.
- Strong understanding of a range of special educational needs and the ability to adapt teaching to meet individual learning styles and needs.
- Confidence in managing behaviour positively, using strategies that support emotional regulation and engagement in learning.
- A patient, flexible, and nurturing approach, with a genuine passion for supporting pupils with additional needs to reach their full potential.
