About the role
A welcoming and inclusive Primary Academyin Peterborough is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Classroom Teacher to join their team on a full-time basis from September 2026.
The school are looking for either a KS1 or KS2 teacherwho can deliver engaging lessons, inspire a love of learning, and create a positive classroom culture that supports the progress and wellbeing of all pupils.
This role will have the potential to be permanent.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver high‑quality, engaging lessons that meet the needs of all learners and align with the national curriculum.
- Create an inclusive and stimulating learning environment where pupils feel supported, challenged, and motivated to succeed.
- Differentiate learning activities to accommodate varying abilities and learning styles within the classroom.
- Monitor, assess, and record pupil progress, using assessment data to inform planning and ensure positive outcomes.
- Establish positive behaviour expectations and implement effective classroom management strategies.
- Foster pupils’ social, emotional, and personal development alongside academic achievement.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues, support staff, parents, and external agencies to support pupil progress and wellbeing.
- Participate in staff meetings, training, school events, and wider school responsibilities as required.
Pre-requisites
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in the UK or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
- Experience teaching either KS1 or KS2
- Strong knowledge of the national curriculum and effective teaching and learning strategies.
- Ability to plan and deliver creative, engaging lessons that inspire pupils and promote progress.
- Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
- A commitment to safeguarding, inclusion, and supporting the individual needs of all learners.
- A proactive, enthusiastic, and reflective approach to professional practice.
