About the role:
Justteachers are seeking an enthusiastic Geography Teacher to join a thriving secondary school in Leeds this September. This is a full-time role running until Christmas, with a strong possibility of extension for the right candidate.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging and high-quality Geography lessons across KS3 and KS4 (KS5 desirable but not essential)
- Plan, prepare and assess lessons in line with the national curriculum
- Differentiate teaching to meet the needs of all learners, including SEN and EAL students
- Monitor and track student progress, providing feedback to support development
- Maintain strong classroom management and a positive learning environment
- Work collaboratively with the Humanities department and wider school staff
- Contribute to departmental planning, meetings and school activities where required
Pre-requisites:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent recognised teaching qualificatio
- Experience teaching Geography in a UK secondary school setting
- Strong subject knowledge and passion for Geography
- Excellent communication and classroom management skills
- Ability to engage and motivate students of varying abilities
- Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply)
- Two school based references
