About the role:
A specialist SEMH provision in Stamford with a dedicated nurture approach, supporting children and young people who have experienced trauma and barriers to learning. The setting focuses on emotional development, re-engagement with education, and building strong, trusting relationships through a structured and therapeutic environment. The Nurture Lead plays a key role in managing a small group provision, creating a safe and consistent space that supports regulation, confidence, and readiness to learn.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead a nurture-based provision, supporting a small group of pupils with SEMH and trauma-related needs
- Plan and deliver tailored, relationship-led sessions that focus on emotional regulation, social skills, and engagement
- Work closely with wider staff to ensure consistency in behaviour support strategies and individual plans
- Create a safe, structured environment that promotes routine, trust, and positive outcomes for pupils
Pre-requisites:
- Experience working with children or young people with SEMH needs, particularly within a nurture or trauma-informed setting
- Strong understanding of attachment, trauma, and strategies to support emotional regulation
- Confidence leading a small group or provision and adapting approaches to meet individual needs
- Relevant qualifications or experience in education, youth work, psychology, or therapeutic support
