About the role: justteachers are supporting a primary school in Nuneaton to recruit a SEND Teaching Assistant to support pupils with SEMH needs. This is a full-time role with an immediate start, fixed term until the end of the academic year. The school has a strong pastoral team, a nurturing ethos and a clear behaviour framework, with regular CPD focused on emotional wellbeing and trauma-informed practice.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide targeted 1:1 SEMH support
- Implement emotional regulation strategies
- Support behaviour and engagement in lessons
- Work closely with teaching staff and SENDCo
Pre-requisites:
- Level 2 or higher teaching assistant qualification or equivalent (Must be relevant to working with children)
- Proven experience working with children in a school or relevant setting (That can be referenced)
- A minimum of two references that cover the past two years, including last employer. Ideally references will be education or school-based references
