About the role:
Justteachers is recruiting a full-time SEN Teaching Assistant for a specialist school in Nuneaton, starting in September 2026.
This role is ideal for individuals who are passionate about helping children overcome barriers to learning and thrive both academically and personally.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide classroom support to pupils with a range of SEN needs.
- Deliver one-to-one support and personalised learning interventions.
- Support pupils with social, emotional, and behavioural development.
- Encourage engagement, independence, and confidence.
- Assist teachers in preparing learning resources and activities.
- Support pupils during breaktimes, educational visits, and enrichment activities.
- Maintain accurate records and contribute to pupil review
Pre-requisites:
- Previous SEN, care, support work, or educational experience preferred.
- Strong behaviour management and relationship-building skills.
- Empathetic, resilient, and adaptable nature.
- Knowledge of SEMH, autism, ADHD, or learning difficulties is beneficial.
- Commitment to supporting vulnerable children and young people.
- Right to work in the UK.
- Enhanced DBS check or willingness to obtain one.
