About the role
Justteachers is seeking a dedicated and experienced Key Stage 2 Teacher to join a specialist provision in Nuneaton that caters to pupils with moderate learning needs.
This full-time role is to begin in September 2026 and will continue for the full academic year.
The setting supports primary-aged pupils with a range of additional needs including moderate learning difficulties (MLD), speech and language delays, and social, emotional, or communication needs.
The successful candidate will lead a small, supportive class with access to experienced teaching assistants and multi-agency input.
The focus is on delivering a highly differentiated curriculum that fosters both academic and personal development.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver creative, accessible lessons tailored to individual needs and EHCP outcomes.
- Manage a small class of KS2 pupils with varied learning profiles.
- Work collaboratively with support staff, therapists, and external agencies to support holistic progress.
- Foster a safe, inclusive, and structured learning environment.
- Monitor and report on progress regularly, adapting strategies where necessary.
- Promote independence, resilience, and emotional wellbeing in every learner.
Pre-requisites
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with recent KS2 teaching experience.
- A strong understanding of moderate learning difficulties and experience differentiating curriculum content.
- A commitment to inclusive practice and child-centred teaching.
- Experience in a specialist or SEN setting is highly desirable.
- Two relevant references from education-based roles.
