We are currently recruiting for a compassionate and resilient Complex Needs Learning Support Assistant to join a specialist SEN School in Corby (NN17), starting as soon as possible. This is a full-time role supporting pupils with a range of complex needs including ASD, severe learning difficulties (SLD), profound and multiple learning difficulties (PMLD), and associated communication and sensory needs.

You will work closely with the class teacher and wider multidisciplinary team to provide tailored support, ensuring pupils can access learning in a safe and structured environment. The role may involve personal care, supporting communication through PECS or Makaton, and implementing individual education and behaviour plans. This is a rewarding opportunity for someone patient, nurturing, and committed to making a meaningful difference in the lives of young people with additional needs.

Key Requirements:
  • Experience supporting children or young people with complex needs
  • A calm, patient and empathetic approach
  • Understanding of ASD, SLD or PMLD (desirable)
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills
  • Two satisfactory references covering the last two years
  • Right to work in the UK
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
