About the role
Justteachers is looking for a caring SEN Teaching Assistant to support pupils in a secondary SEN setting in Northampton. This role begins in September 2026 and continues until July 2027. You will support students with ADHD, autism, and learning difficulties both inside and outside the classroom.
Key Responsibilities
- Support pupils during lessons and practical activities
- Encourage positive communication and peer interaction
- Assist with behaviour management and emotional support
- Help adapt learning materials for individual pupils
- Promote independence and confidence in daily routines
Pre-requisites
- Experience working with SEN students desirable
- Flexible and supportive approach to learning
- Enhanced DBS on the update service or willing to obtain one
- Two references within the last two years from a related field
