We have an exciting opportunity for an Secondary Teaching Assistant , who is looking for a long term role in a secondary school in the Nelson area on a full time basis. The role is set to commence in September 2026, with shortlisting currently underway.

Key Skills and Attributes:
- Support classroom teacher with lesson delivery
- Provide 1:1 and small group support
- Assist pupils with additional learning needs
- Help manage classroom behaviour
- Prepare learning materials and resources
- Support assessment and progress tracking
- Encourage student engagement and participation
- Assist with pastoral care and wellbeing
- Supervise students during breaks and activities
- Contribute to a positive learning environment
Pre-requisites:
- Previous experience in a UK secondary school
- Understanding of SEN support strategies
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Relevant TA qualification or equivalent experience
