About the role: Justteachers is seeking an English Teacher to join an Alternative Provision (AP) in the Nelson area on a long-term basis. The full-time post is due to start after Easter, with shortlisting currently taking place. This AP is dedicated to supporting KS3 and KS4 students who require a more tailored and engaging approach to education. The school focuses on re-engaging students in learning, improving literacy skills, and building confidence in a structured and nurturing environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Planning and delivering engaging and differentiated English lessons suited to students’ individual needs
- Using creative teaching strategies to support students with SEMH and behavioural needs

Pre-requisites:
- QTS or a relevant teaching qualification in English
- Proven experience teaching students with SEMH or in an alternative provision setting
- Strong knowledge of behaviour management and student engagement strategies
- Two education or school-based references
