justteachers is delighted to be supporting a friendly and well-regarded primary school in Loughborough in their search for a dedicated Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA). This role offers an excellent opportunity to make a meaningful impact by supporting teaching and learning across the school, including in Year 6.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver planned learning activities to individuals, small groups, or whole classes in the absence of the class teacher.
- Support pupils’ academic progress, behaviour, and emotional wellbeing.
- Assist with lesson planning, preparation of resources, and assessment activities.
- Work closely with teachers to support targeted interventions.
- Promote an inclusive, positive, and well-managed learning environment.
- Uphold safeguarding procedures and school policies at all times.
Pre-requisites
- HLTA qualification or equivalent relevant experience.
- Previous experience working in a primary school setting.
- Strong understanding of the primary curriculum, particularly Key Stage 2.
- Confidence in leading learning activities independently when required.
- Excellent communication, teamwork, and organisational skills.
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
