About the role
Justteachers is seeking a Children’s Care Worker to join a vibrant children’s residential care home in the Burnley area on a long‑term basis. The full‑time post is due to start in January 2026, with shortlisting currently taking place.
The home provides a warm, stable and therapeutic environment where children are supported to build resilience, develop life skills and achieve positive outcomes through compassionate, consistent care.
Key Responsibilities
- Supporting children with daily routines, emotional wellbeing, and positive behaviour
- Building trusting relationships that promote safety, independence and personal growth
- Working collaboratively with the wider care team to deliver personalised care plans
Pre‑requisites
- Relevant qualifications or experience within children’s residential care
- Proven experience supporting children or young people with additional or complex needs
- Strong knowledge of safeguarding, trauma‑informed practice and behaviour support
- A full UK driving licence (preferred depending on home location)
- Two education or care‑based references
