About the Role
Justteachers is recruiting a dedicated 1:1 SEN TA at a primary school in Liversedge, starting ASAP. This role involves supporting pupils within the classroom, including those with additional learning and SEMH needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide dedicated 1:1 support for a pupil with SEN and SEMH needs within the classroom.
- Support the pupil to access learning, adapting activities to meet individual needs.
- Assist with emotional regulation and behaviour management using positive support strategies.
- Build a strong, trusting relationship to promote confidence, engagement and progress.
- Implement individual behaviour and support plans alongside the class teacher and SENCO.
Pre-requisites
- Experience supporting pupils with SEND on a 1:1 or small group basis.
- Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant in a UK primary school.
- Strong safeguarding knowledge and practice.
- Excellent behaviour management.
- Ability to provide two education-based references.
