About the role: Justteachers are currently recruiting for a passionate and nurturing SEN Teacher to work within an EYFS class at a specialist SEN school in Lichfield. These roles are starting in September 2026 and offer a fantastic opportunity for an enthusiastic teacher who is committed to supporting children with additional needs through creative, engaging, and child-centred learning. The successful candidate will play a key role in helping pupils develop academically, socially, and emotionally within a supportive environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver engaging EYFS lessons tailored to individual learning needs
- Support pupils with a range of special educational needs including ASD, communication difficulties, and developmental delays
- Create a safe, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment
- Use differentiated teaching strategies and sensory approaches to support learning
- Work closely with teaching assistants, therapists, and parents/carers
- Monitor and assess pupil progress, maintaining accurate records and reports
- Promote positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing
Pre-requisites:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent recognised teaching qualification
- Experience working within EYFS and/or SEN settings
- Strong understanding of early childhood development and SEN strategies
- Patient, caring, and adaptable approach to teaching
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to obtain one
- Right to work in the UK
