About the role:
We are actively recruiting for an English Teacher to join a Secondary School in the Lincoln area on a full-time basis starting in September 2026. This is a fantastic opportunity for a passionate educator to foster a love of reading and writing while helping students develop the communication and analytical skills needed for future success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality English lessons across KS3 and KS4
- Support students in developing literacy and comprehension skills
- Encourage critical thinking through language and literature studies
- Assess attainment and provide targeted feedback
- Create an engaging and inclusive classroom environment
Pre-requisites:
- Previous experience teaching English at secondary level
- Relevant teaching qualification
- Strong knowledge of the English curriculum
- Excellent communication and behaviour management skills
- Ability to challenge and support learners of all abilities
- Provide two education/school based references from the last two years
