About the role:
Justteachers are working in partnership with a well-established Secondary school in Lincoln, who are seeking an enthusiastic and creative Drama Teacher to join their team on a full time, long-term supply basis, starting September.
This school values the importance of the performing arts in developing confidence, communication, and creativity in young people. The Drama department is supportive and collaborative, encouraging pupils to express themselves through performance, discussion, and practical exploration.
Key Responsibilities:
- Teach Drama across KS3 and KS4, delivering engaging and inclusive lessons
- Plan creative lessons that develop performance, collaboration, and communication skills
- Encourage pupils to build confidence through practical and theoretical drama activities
- Support pupils in developing acting, improvisation, and script analysis techniques
Pre-requisites:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised qualification
- Experience teaching Drama within a Secondary school setting
- Strong subject knowledge and enthusiasm for the performing arts
- The ability to engage and inspire pupils of varying abilities
- Strong classroom management and organisational skills
- A creative and adaptable teaching approach
- Two recent education-based references
