Just Teachers is seeking a Design & Technology Technician to support a busy secondary school department.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience in engineering, manufacturing, construction, woodworking or a school workshop environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare materials and equipment for practical lessons.
  • Maintain workshop machinery and ensure equipment is safe and compliant.
  • Support teachers and students during practical activities.
  • Monitor stock levels and order materials when required.
  • Carry out routine maintenance and health & safety checks.
  • Ensure workshop areas remain clean, organised and safe.

Pre-requisites

  • Experience working within a workshop or technical environment.
  • Knowledge of Health & Safety procedures.
  • Good organisational and practical skills.
  • The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Experience within education is desirable but not essential.
  • An enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).
