About the role justteachers is recruiting on behalf of a forward-thinking and high-achieving sixth form college in Leeds for a passionate Teacher of Media Studies.
This is an exciting opportunity to teach both A Level Media Studies and T Level Media, Broadcast and Production, inspiring students to develop creative, analytical and technical skills in a dynamic subject area.
This is a full time role to start in September on a long term supply basis.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging lessons across A Level Media Studies and T Level Media, Broadcast and Production.
- Prepare students effectively for coursework, assessments and examinations.
- Support students in developing both theoretical understanding and practical production skills.
- Contribute to curriculum development and enrichment activities within the media department.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues, parents and carers to support student achievement and wellbeing.
- Pre-requisites
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or a recognised teaching qualification.
- Experience teaching Media Studies at Key Stage 5 (A Level and/or T Level).
- Strong subject knowledge across media theory, digital production and broadcast.
- The ability to inspire and engage students with varying learning styles.
- Two education or school-based references
