About the role justteachers is recruiting on behalf of a forward-thinking and high-achieving sixth form college in Leeds for a passionate Teacher of Media Studies.

This is an exciting opportunity to teach both A Level Media Studies and T Level Media, Broadcast and Production, inspiring students to develop creative, analytical and technical skills in a dynamic subject area.

This is a full time role to start in September on a long term supply basis.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver engaging lessons across A Level Media Studies and T Level Media, Broadcast and Production.
  • Prepare students effectively for coursework, assessments and examinations.
  • Support students in developing both theoretical understanding and practical production skills.
  • Contribute to curriculum development and enrichment activities within the media department.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues, parents and carers to support student achievement and wellbeing.
  • Pre-requisites
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or a recognised teaching qualification.
  • Experience teaching Media Studies at Key Stage 5 (A Level and/or T Level).
  • Strong subject knowledge across media theory, digital production and broadcast.
  • The ability to inspire and engage students with varying learning styles.
  • Two education or school-based references
