About the role:
A vibrant and forward‑thinking secondary school in Leeds is seeking an enthusiastic Science Teacher with a specialism in Biology to join their team from September 2026. Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging and challenging Biology lessons across KS3 and KS4, with opportunities to teach KS5.
- Plan, prepare and assess learning in line with curriculum requirements and departmental expectations.
- Inspire students through practical investigation, real‑world application and a passion for science.
- Contribute to the wider science curriculum, including enrichment activities, clubs or trips.
- Maintain high standards of behaviour, safeguarding and student wellbeing.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to develop resources, share best practice and support departmental improvement.
Pre‑requisites:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
- Strong subject knowledge in Biology, with the ability to deliver high‑quality lessons.
- Experience teaching up to A‑Level is an advantage but not essential—enthusiasm and willingness to grow are equally valued.
- Excellent communication, organisation and classroom‑management skills.
