About the role:
Justteachers is seeking a dedicated English Teacher with SEND responsibilities to join a supportive school in the Leeds area on a long-term basis.
This full-time role is due to commence in September with shortlisting currently underway. The school fosters an inclusive and structured environment, with a strong focus on supporting pupils with additional needs and ensuring all learners can access the English curriculum and achieve their potential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Planning and delivering engaging English lessons adapted to meet a range of SEND needs
- Supporting pupils' literacy development alongside their social and emotional progress
- Working closely with the SENDCO and support staff to implement tailored learning strategies
Pre-requisites:
- Relevant teaching qualification (QTS or equivalent)
- Experience teaching English and supporting pupils with SEND
- A strong understanding of differentiation and inclusive teaching approaches
- Two education or school-based references
