About the role:
Justteachers is currently seeking a passionate and dedicated Physical Education (PE) Teacher to join a vibrant secondary school in the Leeds area. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a supportive environment, delivering high-quality PE lessons to students across Key Stages 3 and 4, starting in September through to the Christmas break, with the potential for extension.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver engaging and inclusive PE lessons aligned with the national curriculum
- Encourage participation in a wide range of sports and physical activities
- Monitor, assess and report on student progress and attainment
- Support extracurricular sports activities and school events where appropriate
- Maintain a safe and positive learning environment, adhering to safeguarding policies
Pre-requisites:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification
- Experience teaching PE at secondary level (KS3 & KS4 essential; KS5 desirable)
- Strong behaviour management skills and classroom presence
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
- Two school based references
