justteachers is recruiting a passionate and creative Music Teacher for a vibrant secondary school in the Leeds area. This full-time role begins after the Easter break and continues through to the end of the academic year. You’ll join a supportive performing arts department and deliver engaging lessons that inspire students across KS3 and KS4.
Key Responsibilities
- Teach high-quality Music lessons across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4.
- Plan and deliver engaging lessons that develop students’ musical skills, creativity, and confidence.
- Prepare students for practical and theoretical assessments, including GCSE Music where applicable.
- Maintain strong behaviour management and create a positive, inclusive classroom environment.
- Track pupil progress and provide constructive feedback and intervention.
Pre-requisites
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- Experience teaching Music in a UK secondary school setting.
- Strong subject knowledge, including practical and theoretical music skills.
- Confident behaviour management and classroom control.
- An enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one).
- Two school based references.
