Justteachers are recruiting for a passionate Maths Teacher or a Cover Supervisor with a strong specialism in Mathematics to join a supportive and forward-thinking secondary school in Leeds. This is an exciting opportunity to inspire students and promote a love of maths across Key Stages. We welcome applications from qualified teachers as well as experienced cover supervisors who have strong subject knowledge in maths and confidence delivering lessons.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality Maths lessons (or supervise pre-set lessons)
- Support students in developing mathematical understanding and problem-solving skills
- Manage classroom behaviour effectively in line with school policies
- Adapt delivery to meet the needs of learners of varying abilities
- Provide feedback on student engagement and progress
- Create and maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment
- Encourage student participation and confidence in maths
- Work collaboratively with teaching staff and the Maths department
Pre-requisites
- Experience working with young people in an educational setting
- Strong subject knowledge and understanding of Mathematics
- Confident classroom presence with good behaviour management skills
- Ability to engage, motivate and inspire students
- Strong communication and organisational skills
- A commitment to safeguarding and promoting student welfare
