About the role:
Justteachers is looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Geography Teacher to join a supportive and well-established secondary school in Leeds. This is an immediate start role, continuing until the end of the academic year, ideal for an experienced teacher or an ECT looking to gain valuable classroom experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging and effective Geography lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4 (KS5 desirable but not essential)
- Plan, prepare and adapt lessons in line with the national curriculum
- Assess, mark and provide constructive feedback to support pupil progress
- Manage classroom behaviour effectively, creating a positive learning environment
- Track student attainment and contribute to progress reviews
- Work collaboratively with the Geography department and wider school staff
- Contribute to departmental planning, meetings and school activities as required
- Uphold safeguarding responsibilities in line with school policies
Pre-requisites:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) (or equivalent)
- Experience teaching Geography at secondary level
- Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service
- Two school based references
