Justteachers is seeking an Autism School Support Worker to join a specialist autism provision in the Leeds area on a long‑term basis. The full‑time post is due to start immediately, with shortlisting currently taking place. The school provides a calm, structured and highly supportive environment, placing a strong emphasis on communication, emotional regulation and personalised learning for pupils with ASC.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supporting pupils with autism to access learning and develop communication and independence
  • Implementing structured routines, visual supports and autism‑specific strategies
  • Working collaboratively with teachers, therapists and support staff to deliver individualised support plans

Pre‑requisites

  • Relevant qualifications in education, childcare, youth work or support work
  • Proven experience supporting children or young people with autism
  • Strong knowledge of autism‑specific approaches, communication methods and sensory needs
  • Two education or school‑based references
