About the role: justteachers is seeking a SEMH Teaching Assistant to join a vibrant specialist provision in the Lancaster area to cover on a long-term basis. The full-time post is due to start in June 2026, with shortlisting currently taking place. Key Responsibilities:
- Supporting pupils with SEMH needs in both classroom and therapeutic settings

- Working closely with teachers, therapists, and pastoral staff to deliver tailored interventions
Pre-requisites:
- Relevant qualifications (e.g., Level 2/3 in Supporting Teaching & Learning, Health & Social Care, or equivalent)
- Proven experience supporting children or young people with SEMH or behavioural needs
- Strong knowledge of safeguarding and de-escalation strategies
- A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle, due to the school’s location
- Two education or school-based references
