About the role
Justteachers is seeking an experienced Teaching Assistant to join a complex needs school in Kidderminster to cover on a long-term basis.
The full-time post is due to start in September 2026 and expected to last for the entire academic year.
The setting provides key support to students aged 4 to 19 with complex needs, including MLD, PMLD, ASD, Speech and Language difficulty, and visual/hearing impairments.
They focus on providing an inclusive environment, to foster a nurturing and engaging classroom setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide 1:1 and small group support tailored to individual learning plans.
- Support communication, sensory, and physical needs as part of a multi-disciplinary approach.
- Foster a nurturing, safe, and engaging environment.
- Assist with personal care and mobility as required.
- Encourage independence, self-esteem, and positive behaviour.
Pre-requisites
- Teaching Assistant Qualification or equivalent.
- Proven experience supporting children with additional needs or in a care-based setting is desirable.
- Two education or care-based references.
