About the role
Justteachers is seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to support pupils at a welcoming primary school in Kettering. This full‑time role starts ASAP and runs until July 2026, with potential for extension into the new academic year. The successful candidate will work closely with teaching staff to provide targeted support for pupils with additional learning needs, helping them to engage confidently in the classroom. The school is known for its inclusive ethos and collaborative staff team.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide one‑to‑one and small group support for pupils with SEN
- Work with the class teacher to adapt learning activities to meet pupil needs
- Support pupils’ social and emotional development throughout the school day
- Encourage positive behaviour and engagement in lessons
- Assist with classroom preparation and learning resources
Pre‑requisites
- Experience supporting children with SEN in an education or childcare setting
- Patient, supportive, and adaptable approach
- Enhanced DBS on the update service or willing to obtain one
- Two references within the last two years from a related field
