About the role: Justteachers are working with a welcoming and inclusive primary school in South Warwickshire seeking a full-time Teaching Assistant to start this May 2026. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about supporting children with additional needs and is looking to make a genuine impact in a nurturing school environment. In this role you will provide 1:1 support for a pupil with SEND, due to the nature of this role the school are looking to appoint someone long term with the potential of going permanent.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide tailored 1:1 support to a pupil with special educational needs
  • Assist with classroom activities and differentiated learning tasks
  • Implement strategies outlined in the pupil’s EHCP (Education, Health and Care Plan)
  • Work collaboratively with the class teacher and SENCO
  • Monitor progress and provide feedback to staff and parents
  • Support emotional regulation and social interaction
  • Promote inclusion and independence within the classroom

Pre-requisites:

  • Previous experience working with children with SEND (especially in a 1:1 capacity)
  • A relevant Teaching Assistant qualification (e.g., Level 2 or 3) is desirable
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Patience, empathy, and a nurturing approach
  • Ability to adapt to the pupil’s individual needs and learning style
  • Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one)
