Intervention Teacher Hunstanton

We are working in partnership with a welcoming and supportive Primary school in Hunstanton, who are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Intervention Teacher to join their team on a part-time, long-term supply basis for 2 days per week, starting in September until December, with the possibility of being extended.

This friendly and inclusive school is committed to supporting all pupils to achieve their full potential. The successful candidate will work closely with pupils across the school, delivering targeted intervention support to help raise attainment and confidence in core subjects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and deliver targeted intervention sessions to small groups and individual pupils
• Support pupils in developing key skills in literacy and numeracy
• Work closely with class teachers to identify pupil needs and track progress
• Create a positive, inclusive, and supportive learning environment
• Adapt learning activities to meet the needs of pupils of varying abilities
• Monitor and assess pupil progress, providing feedback where appropriate
• Manage behaviour effectively in line with the school’s policies
• Work collaboratively with teaching staff, support staff, and parents where required
• Maintain accurate records of interventions and pupil progressContribute positively to the wider school community

Pre-requisites:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
• Previous experience teaching within a Primary school setting
• Experience delivering interventions and supporting pupils with additional learning needs is desirable
• Strong knowledge of the Primary curriculum
• Excellent classroom and behaviour management skills
• A positive, flexible, and proactive approach to teaching
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• The ability to build positive relationships with pupils, staff, and parents
• A genuine passion for education and supporting children’s development
• Two recent education-based references
