Justteachers is seeking a proactive Behaviour Support Worker to join a welcoming school in the Wakefield area to support pupils on a long-term basis to start in September. This full-time role is available to start ASAP, with shortlisting currently underway. Key Responsibilities

  • Supporting pupils who present with challenging behaviour both in and out of the classroom
  • Assisting with the delivery of individual behaviour plans and intervention strategies
  • Encouraging positive choices, emotional regulation, and engagement with learning

Pre-requisites

  • Relevant experience working with children or young people with behavioural or SEMH needs
  • A strong understanding of behaviour support approaches and de-escalation techniques
  • The ability to build positive, trusting relationships with pupils
  • Two education or school-based references
