About the role:
Justteachers is seeking a dedicated Behaviour Mentor to join a supportive school in the Huddersfield area on a long-term basis.
This full-time role is due to commence in September, with shortlisting currently underway. The school places a strong emphasis on behaviour support and pupil wellbeing, providing a structured and nurturing environment to help learners develop positive behaviours and re‑engage with their education.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supporting pupils with behavioural and emotional needs on a one‑to‑one or small‑group basis
- Promoting positive behaviour and supporting pupils with emotional regulation strategies
- Working closely with teachers, pastoral staff, and SEND teams to support individual progress
Pre-requisites:
- Relevant experience working in a behaviour mentor, pastoral, or SEND-based role
- Experience supporting children or young people with behavioural or SEMH needs
- A strong understanding of behaviour management and de‑escalation techniques
- Two education or school‑based references
