  • Experience working with children or young people with SEND, SEMH, or additional pastoral needs in schools, care settings, youth work, or similar environments.
  • A good understanding of how emotional, behavioural, and social needs can impact learning and wellbeing.
  • The ability to remain calm, patient, and consistent when supporting pupils who may present with challenging behaviours.
  • Confidence using supportive strategies to help pupils regulate emotions and return to learning positively.
  • Relevant qualifications or experience such as Teaching Assistant, Pastoral Support, Childcare, Youth Work, Health & Social Care, or equivalent hands‑on experience.
