About the role: An alternative provision in Heckington supporting KS3–KS4 learners with significant behavioural needs linked to SEMH. The provision focuses on practical learning, emotional regulation and reintegration pathways. This role starts after Easter on a full‑time basis.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support students 1:1 or in small groups to regulate behaviour and re‑engage with learning.
  • Use de‑escalation techniques, restorative practice and emotion‑coaching to manage incidents calmly.
  • Help deliver structured, accessible learning tasks alongside teachers.
  • Encourage resilience, independence and positive decision‑making.

Pre-requisites:

  • Experience in PRU/AP environments or supporting high‑needs SEMH learners.
  • Strong behaviour management and a calm, confident presence.
  • Understanding of trauma‑informed behaviour strategies, being able to support students when heightened and dysregulate when required.
  • Relevant education, youth support or behaviour‑focused qualifications.
