About the role: justteachers are working in partnership with a forward-thinking secondary school in Harrogate to appoint a dedicated and creative Teacher of Product Design for a September 2026 start on a long term supply basis. This is an excellent opportunity for an ECT or experienced teacher who is passionate about design, creativity, and practical learning. The school has a well-established Design & Technology department and places a strong emphasis on developing technical skills, problem-solving, and independent thinking.

Key Responsibilities

  • Teaching Product Design across KS3 and KS4 (KS5 available depending on experience)
  • Planning and delivering engaging, hands‑on lessons aligned with the curriculum
  • Supporting pupils to develop design skills, technical knowledge, and practical competence
  • Using assessment effectively to monitor progress and inform teaching
  • Maintaining a safe, well‑organised workshop environment

Pre‑requisites

  • Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or be working towards it
