About the role:
justteachers are working in partnership with a welcoming and forward‑thinking secondary school in the Harrogate area to recruit a Teacher of English for a September start on a long term supply basis.
This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate and committed English teacher who is eager to inspire students and contribute to a supportive and ambitious department.
Key Responsibilities:
- Teaching English across KS3 and KS4 (KS5 available for a suitably experienced candidate)
- Planning and delivering engaging, high‑quality lessons
- Assessing, tracking and supporting pupil progress
- Contributing to the wider life of the school and department
Pre-requisites:
- A qualified teacher of English (QTS required)
- Strong subject knowledge with a passion for literature and language
- The ability to motivate and inspire students of all abilities
- Excellent classroom management and communication skills
- A positive, proactive and team‑focused approach
- Two education or school‑based references
