Justteachers is seeking a dedicated Teacher with SEND responsibilities to join a welcoming school in the Harrogate area to cover on a long-term basis. This full-time post is due to start in September, with shortlisting currently taking place. The school has a strong inclusive ethos and is committed to ensuring all pupils, including those with additional needs, are supported to achieve their full potential in a positive and nurturing environment.

Responsibilities

  • Planning and delivering differentiated lessons to meet a range of SEND needs
  • Supporting pupils with additional needs both academically and emotionally
  • Working closely with the SENDCO and support staff to implement and review individual support plans

Requirements

  • Relevant teaching qualification (QTS or equivalent)
  • Proven experience supporting pupils with SEND within a classroom setting
  • Strong knowledge of inclusive teaching strategies and differentiation
  • Two education or school-based references
