Justteachers is seeking a dedicated SEND Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming school in the Harrogate area on a long-term basis. This full-time role is due to commence ASAP, with shortlisting currently underway. The school has a strong focus on inclusion and pupil wellbeing, offering a supportive and structured environment to help learners with additional needs thrive and reach their full potential.
Responsibilities
- Supporting pupils with SEND on a one-to-one or small-group basis within the classroom
- Assisting pupils with their learning, emotional regulation, and communication needs
- Working closely with teachers and the SEND team to support individual learning plans
Qualifications / Pre-requisites
- Relevant experience working as a Teaching Assistant or in a SEND support role
- Experience supporting children or young people with additional needs
- A good understanding of SEND support strategies and inclusive practice
- Two education or school-based references
