Reception Teacher Great Yarmouth

About the role:

We are working in partnership with a welcoming and supportive Primary school in Great Yarmouth, who are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Reception Teacher to join their team on a full-time, long-term maternity cover basis starting in September.

This friendly and nurturing school is committed to providing a positive and engaging learning environment where children are encouraged to develop both academically and socially. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering creative and engaging lessons within the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS), supporting pupils through this important stage of their development.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and deliver engaging lessons in line with the EYFS curriculum




• Create a positive, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment




• Support and challenge pupils of varying abilities to achieve their full potential




• Monitor and assess pupil progress, providing regular feedback where appropriate




• Manage classroom behaviour effectively in line with the school's policies




• Work collaboratively with teaching staff, support staff, and parents




• Contribute to the wider school community and school activities where required




• Differentiate learning to meet the needs of all learners within the classroom




• Maintain accurate records and complete planning and assessment responsibilities

Pre-requisites:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)




• Previous experience teaching within a Primary school setting, ideally within EYFS




• Strong knowledge of the EYFS curriculum and framework




• Excellent classroom and behaviour management skills




• A positive, flexible, and proactive approach to teaching




• Strong communication and teamwork skills




• The ability to build positive relationships with pupils, staff, and parents




• A genuine passion for education and supporting children's development




• Two recent education-based references
