About the role: We are seeking a resilient, dynamic and compassionate GCSE Teacher to join a specialist provision in Peterborough supporting students with SEMH and SEND needs. This is a permanent role starting as soon as possible, ideal for a teacher with a strong presence and the ability to build positive, trust‑based relationships with learners. Students will be at a learning level of KS2. The successful candidate will deliver core subjects, Functional Skills, and Independent Living curriculum pathways, ensuring students can access learning that is adapted, engaging and relevant to their needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging and differentiated lessons across core subjects, Functional Skills and life‑skills‑based learning.
- Adapt teaching approaches to meet the needs of students with SEMH and SEND, ensuring lessons are accessible, meaningful and structured.
- Promote positive behaviour, emotional regulation and resilience using calm, consistent and relationship‑based practice.
- Work collaboratively with support staff, therapists and senior leaders to ensure the best outcomes for every learner.
- Contribute toward a nurturing, safe and stable learning environment for students who may display challenging behaviour.
Pre-requisites:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
- Experience teaching students with SEMH and/or SEND needs.

- A robust, adaptable and empathetic character, able to remain calm and consistent during challenging situations.
