justteachers is working in partnership with a friendly and supportive primary school to recruit a nurturing and enthusiastic EYFS Teaching Assistant. This is a full-time, long-term position with a September start. The successful candidate will support children within the Early Years Foundation Stage, helping to create a positive, engaging, and stimulating learning environment where every child can thrive.
Working closely with the class teacher and wider school staff, the EYFS Teaching Assistant will play an important role in supporting pupils’ learning, development, and wellbeing.
Key Responsibilities- Support teaching and learning within the EYFS classroom
- Work with individual pupils and small groups to support development and engagement
- Assist in delivering creative and interactive learning activities
- Help to create a safe, nurturing, and inclusive learning environment
- Support pupils’ social, emotional, and communication development
- Build positive relationships with pupils, staff, and parents
- Assist with classroom preparation and daily routines
- Experience working with young children or within a school setting
- Minimum Level 1 Teaching Assistant qualification
- A patient, caring, and proactive approach
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- A genuine passion for supporting children’s learning and development
- Two recent, relevant references
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
