We are seeking an enthusiastic, energetic and dedicated PE Teacher to join a secondary school in Doncaster, starting after Easter on a full-time basis. This is a long-term supply role for the summer term, working Monday to Friday. The role will involve teaching PE across Key Stages 3 and 4, with a focus on girls’ PE as well as delivering BTEC Sport (or similar vocational PE qualifications). The school has a strong commitment to promoting physical activity, teamwork and student wellbeing, with excellent facilities and a supportive department. This is a fantastic opportunity for a passionate PE teacher who can inspire and engage students of all abilities.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality PE lessons across KS3 and KS4 (with a focus on girls’ PE)
- Plan and teach engaging lessons in both practical and theory-based PE (including BTEC Sport)
- Assess, monitor and track student progress
- Promote participation, confidence and a positive attitude towards physical activity
- Maintain strong behaviour management and create a safe, inclusive learning environment
- Contribute to the wider PE department, including extracurricular activities where appropriate
Pre-requisites
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
- Experience teaching PE at KS3 and KS4
- Experience or knowledge of BTEC Sport or similar qualifications
- Strong behaviour management skills and the ability to engage and motivate students
- Two education-based references
- A passion for sport, health and student development
