We are seeking a skilled and proactive Design & Technology (DT) Technician to join our partner secondary school in Doncaster. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced technician to step into a well-equipped department and play a key role in supporting teaching and learning. We are looking for someone to start as soon as possible, on a temporary basis in the first instance but with an opportunity to extend into a permanent contract with the school. The position is full time, term time only.
Key Responsibilities
- Assisting in the preparation and maintenance of materials and equipment for DT lessons.
- Supporting classroom activities, working alongside teaching staff within the Creative/Design Technology department.
- Managing the preparation of materials and resources across a range of DT disciplines.
- Ensuring equipment and workspaces are maintained safely and to a high standard.
- Supporting health and safety procedures within the department.
Pre-requisites
- Previous experience working in a DT, workshop, or school technician environment (desirable).
- Practical skills and confidence working with a range of tools, materials, and equipment.
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to work independently.
- A proactive and flexible approach to supporting staff and students.
- Knowledge of health and safety practices within a workshop or classroom setting.
