About the role
We are looking for a passionate and inspiring Art & Photography Teacher to join a thriving secondary school in Doncaster from September 2026.
This is a full-time supply position running until December 2026, with an exciting opportunity to apply for a permanent post at the school thereafter.

Key responsibilities
- Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging Art and Photography lessons across KS3 and KS4.
- Inspire and motivate students to develop their artistic and technical skills using a variety of media and digital platforms.
- Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback to help each learner achieve their potential.
- Maintain a well‑organised and stimulating classroom and studio environment that encourages creativity and respect.
- Collaborate effectively with colleagues within the creative arts department to share best practice and support curriculum development.
- Uphold the school’s values, contributing positively to its vibrant and supportive community.
- Pre-requisites
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
- Proven experience teaching Art and/or Photography within a UK secondary school.
- Strong knowledge of the national curriculum for Art & Design at KS3 and KS4, including GCSE assessment requirements.
- Experience with digital photography and image editing software (e. g. Photoshop) desirable.
- Excellent communication, organisation, and classroom management skills.
- Two recent education or school‑based references.
- A commitment to fostering creativity, curiosity, and confidence in young people.
