About the role:

Justteachers is seeking a passionate and resilient teacher to join a supportive Special Educational Needs (SEN) college in Coventry on a temp-to-perm basis. This full-time role is set to begin in September 2026, with the potential for a permanent position based on performance and fit. This specialist provision supports young people with a range of complex needs, including ASD, MLD, PMLD and other learning difficulties. The college aims to nurture students’ academic, emotional, and social development, helping them to build confidence, independence, and life skills for the future.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons that cater to individual needs and EHCP targets.
  • Build positive, trusting relationships with students to support both learning and well-being.
  • Work collaboratively with teaching assistants, therapists, families, and external professionals.
  • Create a structured and nurturing classroom environment with clear expectations and boundaries.
  • Use trauma-informed and restorative approaches to manage behaviour and promote self-regulation.

Pre-requisites:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Proven experience teaching children with SEN needs or in an alternative provision setting is desirable.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Two education or school-based references.
