We have an excellent opportunity for an EY teaching assistant to work in a nursery in the north-east of Coventry. The role is full time and will commence in September 2026 until July 2027. The role will involve supporting young children’s early development, safety, and education. The nursery is rated ‘Good’ by Ofsted and is part of a primary school. The nursery is two form entry and operates a 2-year-old and 3-year-old nursery provision. The nursery focuses on building resilience, independence, and strong phonics skills in a nurturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Work alongside teacher to create a positive, nurturing environment where children can thrive and develop
- Monitor children’s progress and behaviour to provide feedback to teachers and parents
- Help with feeding, toilet training, rest times, and managing the classroom environment
Pre-requisites
- Relevant level 3 early years qualification
- Proven experience working with children in a school, nursery or relevant setting (That can be referenced)
- A minimum of two references that cover the past two years, including last employer. Ideally references will be education or school-based references
