About the role:
Justteachers is seeking aKS4 SEMH Teacher to join aspecial schoolnear Colne, working with theirnurture groupon along-term basis. Thefull-timeposition is due to startas soon as possible, with shortlisting currently taking place.
This school provides astructured and therapeutic learning environment, supportingstudents with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. Thenurture groupis designed to help studentsdevelop confidence, emotional regulation, and academic skillsin a smaller, more supportive setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Planning and delivering engaging and differentiated lessons tailored to nurture group students
- Creating a positive and structured learning environment that supports emotional and academic development
- Using behaviour management strategies and trauma-informed approaches to support student progress
Pre-requisites:
- QTS or a relevant teaching qualification
- Experience teaching students with SEMH needs, ideally in a nurture group or alternative provision setting
- Strong knowledge of behaviour management, trauma-informed teaching, and student engagement strategies
- Two education or school-based references
