About the role
- We are currently seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic
- KS2 Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in
- Colne from
September 2026 . This is a full-time, temporary position providing long-term supply cover for the full academic year .
The successful candidate will support teaching and learning across Key Stage 2, including providing additional support for pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN).

Key Responsibilities
- Support the class teacher in delivering engaging and effective lessons across Key Stage 2.
- Work with individual pupils and small groups to provide targeted academic support.
- Assist in supporting pupils with SEN, helping them to access learning and achieve their goals.
- Promote positive behaviour and encourage pupil engagement within the classroom.
- Help prepare learning resources and contribute to a safe, inclusive learning environment.
Pre-requisites
- Relevant Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent.
- Proven experience of working with children in a primary school setting.
- Two education or school-based references.
- Experience supporting pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN).
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one.
